Kennan Ward is dedicated to capturing rare forms of nature on film. Ten years of work as a
Search and Rescue Ranger for the National Park Service honed his wildlife observation skills,
deepened his love of the outdoors and accelerated his evolution as a natural light
photographer.
An adventurer and a naturalist, Ward has had photographic assignments in the remote
regions of Alaska, the Florida Everglades, the deserts of the Southwest, Mexico, Africa and
Guatemala.
His work has been featured in numerous publications such as National Geographic,
Geo, Sierra, Natural History and Audubon.
"There is no doubt that being a nature-wildlife photographer is a demanding job," says
Ward. "But all hardship is forgotten when eye-to-eye contact is made with a wild animal or
when a window in the clouds opens up, highlighting a landscape."
